I heard about coconutBattery a long time ago, but didn’t think it would be that useful since the info about battery health is available in System Profiler, as well as in my favorite Widget iStatPro.
coconutBattery - After taking another look, I’m going to start recommending it to all laptop users.
Yes, it gives you the info about your batteries health and the number of load cycles your battery has been through, plus it adds information about the age of your computer. The bonus is that you can save the records of your battery status, so you know how quickly your battery is aging. My recommendation would be to save the status before and after every calibration. If you think your battery is failing prematurely, you can save every few days.
